Volvo S60 Polestar 350bhp

Volvo S60 Polestar is the powerful cousin to S60. Polestar is Volvos tuning performance partner, the cooperation started in Swedish touring car championships in the 1990s and has gone from there. In 2010 they released the C30 Polestar and in 2012 the Volvo S60 Polestar concept. Originally the car was equipped with 501 bhp, when in production it was reduced to 350 bhp (257 KW). Another difference from the concept was the lack of a manual transmission, all Polestars are automatic. Australia was the first country to get the Volvo S60 Polestar in 2013, 100 S60 Polestars where intended to be built, and 50 of them were sent to down-under.

On the inside there are lots of components inspired from the race-track, such as dampers, chassis and tuning.  On the exterior the differences from the original S60 are however minimal, the Polestar has a badge, 20 inch wheels and is lowered. This is the appeal, the S60 Polestar looks like regular Volvo but it really isn’t.
